Fun-ness
Heyhey, damn, I'm like a rock on a hill... on a roll, that is... *sigh* my analogies don't hold a light to jackie's analogy "slow like cheese melting in alaska" *laughs* but yeah, 2nd update in two days... good golly miss molly! Anyways, I've a little bit of a breather between assignments, and I'm feeling especially indulgent, so I'm gonna blog a wee bit more... :D So yeah, I had a fantabolous weekend last... well, weekend. *note: Rambling alert: read at your own risk* Started it off with buying Greyhound tickets to Stratford for two! Me and Katie decided to go watch Love's Labour Lost by Shakespeare. So we bought them, and then some curry fromcurry in a hurry. I was actually going to a potluck/movie night with some kids from my ecology class, so I had to get going. In the process, I almost missed the bus, so since Katie was supposed to go shopping downtown guelph, she was gonna take it home for me to eat the next day. Somehow, we both made it on the bus back, cuz she got the curry and decided to come home for dinner with me, before returning downtown. What a sweet girl she is... :D. So yeah, we ate the curry, and then I packed all the ingredients for the spinach dip I was gonna make, and took the bus to Ultra (equivalent to Save On, for those Vancity kids), and bought the rest of my ingredients. I was gonna have to take a nice long hike to the house of the potluck, but some other friends (with those contraptions known as cars) happened to be at Ultra, and after some polite asking, I got a ride in their car. I left my cell phone in the car though, much to my chagrin. *sigh* But yeah, by this time, I was almost 45 mins late for the potluck... (late: the story of my life), and people were just chilling out having a good time. We decided to watch Baraka, and then went out to Doogie's (my 1st time), which was a fun time. It was another night of firsts, with trying SunSun's (chinese food for the drunken). but yeah. a good night. Part deux So I woke up the next morning, and me and katie went on the greyhound for a magical weekend. We stopped first in Kitchener, looked at comic books, and ate really good takeout Caribbean food from this one store, and went looking in quasi-chinese store, with all sorts of random stuff. I bought stickers, a chinese fan, and a chinese style spoon. Randomness galore. Then we got on the bus again, and showed up in the middle of nowhere in Stratford. we had maps though, so we found our way to the Catalpa bed and breakfast, which was really nice. And after that we went to downtown Stratford, possibly the quaintest place I've set my eyes upon. Such neat little stores, with such beautiful art, funtoys, yummy food and so much much more!! Eventually, we ate dinner, and then headed back the the B&B to get ready for the play. The play was really good. Next time I should read it beforehand, so i have a clue as to what is happening in these plays. I'm not as good in shakespearean as I had thought. hehe. Oops. But I had meself a good time, and Katie seemed to enjoy herself a lot too! And then we went back to the Catalpa, and eventually went to bed, and much of the next day was spent in the neatest bookstore I've seen in a long time. It had neato books, graphic novels, and even toys! How cool is that? Anyways yeah, so we just hung around stratford for a while, and then walked to the Greyhound bus station. On the way, we saw a neighbourhood that had police tape blocking it off. Me and Katie were curious, and this one guy told us that the police were after this guy who had stabbed somebody, and that was supposedly where he was. And that was the excitment for the day. Scary. So yeah, that's my awesome weekend in a nutshell. A very large nutshell. Good day. | Music: Travis- All I want to do is Rock | | Mood: tired |
