ack! i'm s'posed to be sleeping rite now, but what am I doing? catching up with friends! *rejoices* me enjoys it! a good end to a pretty stressful day, I suppose! I am SO MAD AT MYSELF SOMETIMES!!! like the way I am utterly inept at any semblance of gaining consciousness in the morning. Basically, I suck goats at waking up in the morning, sometimes even for important occasions. Like today: I had an interview to be a returning RA. And I even get double backup by having the selfless, courageous Paul to phone me that morning. But I wake up, and fall asleep. 9:11AM The RM Brad phones me, waking me up, and asks me if I'm supposed to be there right now, or whether it was a mistake. I'm just like "shitshitshitshitshitshitshitshit" in my mind, but its' so confuddled at this point, it's not a good scene. Somehow I manage to slot in another interview time (2hrs interview) between two consecutive classes. Go ME! You know how when you do something so incredibly moronic, you tend to replay it in your mind's eye for the longest time? That was me, just kicking myself in the ass.... But the interview went well, overall, I think. It wasn't too bad, but I think I was a wee bit shaky on a few questions, which isn't too good...and it turns out that two other people that was in the same interview group had not shown up. Thus we were unable to have group interviews, until 5:30 that day Later that today. I had a biochemistry lab which wasn't so bad... Me and my partner Caitlin were all-stars today, and we weren't last for once!! yeah!!! that was a crowning moment. After that, I had planned on going to the Chinese New Year Dinner/Celebration at the UC with Katie, on a little shindig, but it was, my interview was at 5:30, and since i finished my lab at 4:20 or so, it was a bit late to go for dinner. Aw well! That's life, I guess. But the group interview went pretty decent. I'm taking a class right now, and I'm learning EXACTLY how to do that kinda stuff, like have group discussions, and facilitate groups. First thing that happens, that part of me shuts down completely. But I thought it was a decent discussion overall. Not as scary as I had first thought! Wow, It's just so crazy, cuz there's so many people reapplying to be RA next year. I think a lot of it has to do with wanting to stay on residence... and being an RA is one of the best ways to do it! So It's a little bit scary, in terms of figuring out whether you'll get back onto staff. But other than that, life has just been dandy. Still lots of procrastination going on... I'll need to get my butt into gear very soon!
