What I learned studying for me exam
"Parathion (a PCB)is a potent neurotoxin. Organophosphates irreversibly bind to acetylcholinesterase, leading to massive overstimulation of the nervous system. Death is usually by respiratory failure, due to uncontrolled secretion of mucus. An aspirin-sized dose will easily kill an adult human within a few minutes"
eck! Such a graphic death. eck. imagine, death by drowing in your own mucus, which streams out from all your mucus lined orifices. *shudder*
So what I learned. Parathion bad. no parathion for me.
Back to work now
