This is Joming, live from Tokyo
Ohayo! It s'me, and I'm writing from a free internet thingy they got at the hotel i'm staying at right now.... Such a nice hotel... I sure as emaciated sumos wouldn't be able to afford it.... so i have my parents to thank for that, i suppose. Anyways, I've been having good times in Japan. It's such an intense place.... and then some... My parents and I have spent the last 5 days or so in Yokohama, which is the 2nd largest city in japan.... and it's a few train stations away from where my sister lives and teaches english, in Fujisawa. So she took us around Yokohama, since she knows her way around pretty well, or at least she's able to figure out her way around.. so that was good, since i haven't seen my sister in almost 8 months, and also because she knows where all the good eats and fun places are as well! I think I lucked out this time... In Japan, for certain words, they use written characters known as Kanji, and lucky for me, it's based on Chinese characters, so I am able to read a little bit of street signs and such. And HOLY CRAPPIN.... there was just an earthquake.... Aiya... I was so confused as to why I felt like I was shaking... and I was going to dismiss it as a passing train, but then I was like "noooo..... that's not a train...." I think that's the 2nd one I've felt here in japan so far... Crazy... Anyways, I've got to meet with ma famille for dinner, or something, so I'll be back to write a little bit more either later tonight, or maybe tommorow. I've got much to tell... Ja ne!
